Ingredients
- ¾ cup vinegar
- 1½ cup water
- 1½ teaspoon pepper
- 1½ Tablespoon salt
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoon prepared mustard
- ½ teaspoon cayenne
- 3 thin slices of lemon
- 3 onions, sliced
- 1½ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- Mix all ingredients except ketchup and Worcestershire sauce and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the ketchup and worcester sauce and bring back to a boil.
Note: for 5 lbs of pork, you will need to double or triple this recipe to have sufficient sauce for the meat. The sauce stores well in the refrigerator for several months.
